GAP-DC Invited Seminar Series

This month, as a part of the GAP-DC seminar series, we were excited to host Dr. Caroline Howard, Senior Scientific Manager at the Wellcome Sanger Institute on 14th November 2024. Dr. Howard, who leads the laboratory team for the Tree of Life project, delivered a presentation titled "Scaling data Generation for reference-level genome assembly from biodiversity."

The seminar offered fascinating insights into sample processing, the challenges of working with diverse sample types, and innovative strategies to overcome these hurdles. The session concluded with a vibrant Q&A, where participants exchanged ideas and explored the complexities of this important area of genomic research.
